Since the first Conference in May 2010, the DiabetesSisters Weekend for Women conference has become the premier forum for women with diabetes, providing peer support and education for women with any type of diabetes (including prediabetes, type 1, type 2, LADA, gestational).

 

DiabetesSisters also offers the Partner's Perspective Program for partners of women with diabetes in conjunction with the Weekend for Women Conference. This program gives partners have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field on how to better support women with diabetes.

 

In 2017, DiabetesSisters partnered with The Diabetes Collective to develop a conference agenda that included 4 different tracks of diabetes education, peer support, and networking:

• General Education Track - open to all participants.
• Weekend for Women Track - open to women registering for the Weekend for Women conference.
• Diabetes UnConference Track - open to men and women living with diabetes.
• Partner Track - open to all partners of people living with diabetes.
