Weekend For Women Conference 2012 (6:00 PM)
The Weekend for Women Conference is open to all women with diabetes age 18 and older. Participants will attend educational sessions on gender-specific topics related to diabetes treatment and management, engage with other women living successfully with diabetes, receive unbiased information on the emergence of new equipment and medications, and learn new tactics for improving their mental and physical health.
DiabetesSisters is also launching a new program called Partners Perspective (PP) program which is specifically for the partners of women participating in the conference. Like the Sisters, the partners will be attending sessions that will provide support of partners who assist their loved ones who manage their diabetes daily.

Orange:Will Diabetes Awareness Walk (8:00 AM - 10:30 AM)
The local community will join conference participants in a 1 mile walk through downtown Raleigh. Proceeds go towards building additional support groups for women with diabetes throughout the US and supporting additional diabetes educational programs.
