So, it’s official… I’m nesting.I bought some baby bedding today, and I’m consumed with finding a crib for the baby.I also want to move my son and daughter into the same room so I can set up Baby Jake’s room, but I haven’t put Aliya and Evan in the same room because I’m paranoid that they will keep each other up rather than going to sleep when it’s time for bed. It’s amazing, after becoming a mom, I’ve become consumed with sleep, but for my kids a good night’s sleep can make or break our day.We all seem to get along so much better when we’re well rested!

We are home from our cross-country adventure. My entire family (my parents, my sister, her husband and daughter, my other sister who has been in Argentina for over a year, my brother, and the kids, Luke, and I) all traveled from San Diego to Boston and then on to Connecticut and New York.We had a blast spending time with family and sight seeing all of the cities.Traveling with kids is a lot of work, but I’ve decided (just like so many things in life) that the hard work is worth it in the end.It is good to now be home and already my blood sugars have stabilized.I think some stress, eating out, lack of exercise, etc… all contributed to high blood sugars while we were gone.Having a routine again is good!
