Did you ever really want to eat something you know you shouldn't? I do...a lot!! Especially having my daughter and grandkids living here. She likes to bake cookies with the kids a lot. If it's there, I want it. Sometimes I just want something, but I don't know what it is I want. Other times, like this week, I know what I want but try not to give in.
Technology and Diabetes (Donna)

There have been so many changes in the techology available for taking care of and monitoring diabetes over the years. Apparently, in the 1920's, people had to put a few drops of urine in a tube of chemicals and place it in boiling water to check their glucose levels and even that wasn't very accurate. I remember my dad using a strip of paper to dip in urine to check for sugar in his urine. Glucose monitors have made that so much easier. There are even more things out there to helps take care of ourselves.
