March 7, 2010 I have never been a big fan of traveling. Don’t get me wrong, I do love visiting new places. It is the actual act of traveling itself I have a problem with; getting from point A to point B. Sometimes, I wish I could just twitch my noise like Samantha on Bewitched and zap myself to where I want to go.

February 21, 2010 Diabetes tends to put things in perspective. It makes you reevaluate what is truly important in your life and everything suddenly takes on a new meaning. In many ways for me it was a wake up call. I am not invincible – go figure.

February 14, 2010 I have been thinking a lot about insulin pumps lately; typically, if and when I want to make the switch. I know a pump would allow me to have better control. I also believe a pump is more convenient. I would love to avoid the 4 or more daily injections that are now part of my life, and I would like to experience the freedom that pumps seem to offer.

February 7, 2010 How do you decide who to tell about your Diabetes? Do you share it with just your family? Friends? Co-workers? Anyone who will listen? When do you tell? Do you just fit it into the conversation as an afterthought? ”Oh by the way, I have Diabetes.” Or is it a more formal conversation?
